    Paris in Red

Paris in Red, originally uploaded by little brown pen.

I think we will talk about nothing but Paris en Février. Tant pis, mes petits amis!

I've only been to Paris once, in 1982, as part of my grand European tour after I graduated from college. It's such a beautiful city and people were so friendly.

I went with a British friend and we did something I would never do today: we just showed up without a hotel room. I read in Let's Go France that you could arrive at the train station and the tourism office would find you a place to stay. It worked! (Don't think I would try it now, though!)

Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful time. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

Thanks Esther; luckily I'll be showing up knowing where I'm resting my head at night. College age sounds about right for taking those chances.
